From Farm to Food Bank
Access to fresh, healthy produce should not be a privilege. Yet, approximately 14% of Bay Area households experience food insecurity. That’s why we use regenerative agricultural practices to grow and share nutritious produce locally.

01
We use our 1.3-acre LEAF Urban Farm and the LEAF Community Garden to grow seasonal, regional, and culturally relevant produce.

02
One to two times per week, our volunteers harvest, weigh, and deliver produce directly to our local food bank partners.

03
Produce arrives at Tri-City Volunteers (TCV) in Fremont (2.6 miles away) and Daily Bowl, who pass it to Centro De Servicios in Union City (3.8 miles away) - it doesn't get any fresher than that!

"The partnership with LEAF has been invaluable—it allows us to connect farm-fresh produce with local food banks who need it. It’s not just about food; it’s about dignity, health, and showing that our community cares."
-Paddy Iyer, Executive Director, Daily Bowl
Seedling Sale
Our annual Spring seedling sale offers a wide variety of organically grown vegetables from the LEAF Urban Farm. We work closely with community members and food bank partners to grow culturally relevant crops that reflect the diverse food traditions of the Tri-City area. Sign up for our newsletter to get notified about the next upcoming sale!

Weekly Volunteering
Join LEAF as a volunteer and take part in propagating, planting, and harvesting fresh produce at our LEAF Urban Farm. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just getting started, there’s a place for you to help grow food for the community.
